The Career Choices CurriculumCareer Choices Course Provides Graduate Units

A 15-hour graduate course now offered for language arts teachers and guidance counselors by the University of North Dakota, is titled, Career Choices through Language Arts Education. Presented by Bernie Burley, the course is based on both the Career Choices text and the literature anthology, Possibilities. The program will provide participants with practical tools and strategies for:

  1. involving students in writing assignments that apply to their own experience,
  2. programs that encourage students to envision their future, and
  3. using literature to engage students in discussions about themselves and their future.

The course will also focus on ways to encourage nontraditional career exploration and self esteem development. For more information on this course and other programs please call our office.
