Designed for experienced Career Choices series instructors hoping to take their programs to a new level, you’ll be exposed to teacher-tested tips and instructional ideas that will help you energize your course and avoid common pitfalls when integrating technology, and you'll explore strategies that will strengthen not only your course but also your school-wide Get Focused…Stay Focused!® implementation.

  • Utilize a myriad of new tools to enhance and upgrade their course.
  • Adapt tips and best practices shared by some of our master teachers.
  • Work with students taking the course as an independent study course.
  • Promote the importance of and strategies for distributive guidance.
  • Use the online 10-year Plan to motivate students to higher achievement through academic coaching, advising, and counseling.
  • Help other faculty access My10yearPlan.com® to assist in the advisory and academic coaching functions on campus.
  • Strategize and deliver the necessary “buy-in” activities in order to organize campus or district personnel for support and implementation of the school-wide program.
  • Present information at parent or community meetings on the use of the 10-year Plan to help students transition to post-secondary education/training and the workforce as self-sufficient adults.
  • Embrace the scope and sequence of the Follow-Up Modules in order to effectively integrate them into academic courses.
