Ploytechnic State University (Cal Poly), and her work for the

City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Division as the
(youngest to date!) Program Coordinator, which is where
she fostered her love for working with students. While
pursuing her Doctoral studies at University California, Santa
Barbara, Monica worked at UCSB’s Graduate School of
Education in the Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology
department as a researcher and assistant.

path to success and a fulfilling career and lifestyle.
She grew up in San Luis Obispo, CA, but had the
opportunity to travel the world with her backpack for 1 year,
living in and exploring Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Croatia,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos, which
