The Career Choices CurriculumNew Insights Bring Productive Choices

Jeanann Cazeau, an English teacher at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, Illinois, is impressed with the progress her special education students have made in the school's interdisciplinary program which uses both Career Choices and Possibilities. One young man - a gang member with a number of behavioral problems - "decided he didn't like the direction his life was headed and made many major changes for the better" after examining his priorities, the way he made choices, and other personality traits that were revealed by exercises in the curriculum. Formerly planning to drop out of high school, he decided to stay and is now planning to attend trade school.

Teachers across the country are reporting similar results with high-risk students in their Career Choices classes.
